The special edition provides detailed insight into the proceedings of the international conference “Navigating Energy Pathways for the Baltic Sea Region.” The conference was organized by the Latvian National Committee of the World Energy Council, the Ministry of Climate and Energy, and the University of Latvia, in cooperation with the World Energy Council’s global network and energy sector leaders from the Baltic Sea region.

The international conference “Navigating Energy Pathways for the Baltic Sea Region” took place on 11–12 February this year at the University of Latvia House of Science and the University of Latvia Library. The event brought together energy ministers from Baltic Sea countries, high-level representatives of the World Energy Council, the U.S. Department of Energy, the European Investment Bank, and the Council of European Energy Regulators, as well as executives from leading energy companies, representatives of municipalities, industry leaders, and civil society organizations, to jointly outline practical pathways toward a sustainable energy transition.

The conference was attended in person by more than 300 participants, gathering leaders from twenty countries around the world. The event was held in English.
